The New Year is a time of fresh starts and hopes, a new beginning. It is a time of celebration, family gathering, remembrance and renewal. Out with the old, in with the new. A time to reflect on the past and a time to look towards the future.

New Year's Tradition - the handing down of stories, beliefs customs etc from generation to generation; a long established custom of practice that has the affects of an unwritten law.

I believe that the first few days of the New Year will effect the rest of the year.  So I do everything I can to insure a prosperous future.  What I do and how you act during the period is crucial in determining how the rest of my year will go. This is a tradition I learned from my mother.  No ironing, cleaning, or other drudgery on January 1 or I will be doing it all year !  For example, last year I was at the computer all day and... well you know what I mean.

I am such a Bill fan

"Our economy is measured in numbers and statistics... But the enduring worth of our nation lies in our shared values and our soaring spirit... We should make the year 2000 a national celebration of the American spirit in every community -- a celebration of our common culture in the century that has passed, and in the new one to come in a new millennium, so that we can remain the world's beacon not only of liberty, but of creativity, long after the fireworks have faded
- President William Jefferson Clinton
1997 State of the Union

For 32 years we have held great New Year's parties.
ahhh...so you want to know our secret..
We celebrate the New Year with varied and interesting people.
We'll try to make sure at least one crazy person is there.
( are you coming?)

My friends, don't let your friends take to the road
under the influence of all that alcohol cheer.
If they drink before they drive, please have them fill out
an organ donor card first.  :o)

May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastro-endocrinologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your psychiatrist, your gynecologist, your plumber and the IRS.

May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs and your stocks not fall; and may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise.

May you find a way to travel from anywhere to anywhere in the rush hour in less than an hour, and when you get there may you find a parking space.

May Tuesday evening, December 31, find you seated around the dinner table, together with your beloved family and cherished friends, ushering in the new year ahead. You will find the food better, the environment quieter, the cost much cheaper, and the pleasure much more fulfilling than anything else you might ordinarily do that night.

May God give you the strength to go through a year of   pre-presidential campaigning, and may some of the promises made be kept. May you believe at least half of what the candidates propose, and may those elected fulfill at least half of what they promise, and the miracle of reducing taxes and balancing budgets happen.

May what you see in the mirror delight you, and what others see in you delight them.

May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, and tell the world about your virtues.

May the telemarketers wait to make their sales calls until you finish dinner,
and may your check book and your budget balance, and may they include
generous amounts for charity.

May you remember to say "I love you" at least once a day to
your spouse, your child, your parents, your friends; but
not to your secretary, your nurse, your masseuse, your
 hairdresser or your tennis instructor.

May we live as God intended, in a world at peace and the
awareness of His love in every sunset, every flower's
unfolding petals, every baby's smile, every lover's kiss,
and every wonderful, astonishing, miraculous beat of our
heart.
