SUPPLIES NEEDED:     Metallic crochet thread 
                                         Crochet hook, size 8 
                                         122 metal shank buttons
ABBREVATIONS:         ch = chain 
                                          sl st = slip stitch

 
Crochet instructions are at the bottom of this page.

Cut off about 4 yards of the metallic thread to use.

Chain 25, pull the thread all the way through the last chain stitch.

Thread all the shank buttons onto the thread before starting to crochet.

Slide the shank buttons up to the chain stitches. Arrange the buttons so that they are tightly positioned next to each other.

Pick up a loop of thread at the end of the buttons and make 35 chain stitches.

Slip stitch in 10th chain from the hook and cut the thread, leaving a tail and tie securely. A dot of glue will help hold it.

Tie another shank button onto the beginning of the piece where you started.
