COLLAR WITH
BOW-TIE FRONT
Materials Needed: 3/4 yard fabric Thread to match
Pattern pieces: (A) collar body (B) bow (C) loop
Pattern pieces available FREE by mail... see below1. Cut out the pattern pieces. Parts A & B share a common cutting line.
2. Add any embellishment to the collar top.
3. Place the upper and lower collar pieces right sides together. Using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch around the edges.
4. Notch the neck edge up to the stitch line. Trim the corners of the collar. Turn the piece right-sides out.

5. To stitch the collar bottom flaps together, turn under 1/4" of the raw edge to the inside on one flap. Insert the other flap into it, align the seams and hand stitch the pieces together
6. Place the (B) pieces right sides together. Using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch around the piece leaving an opening for turning. Turn the piece right-sides out. Hand stitch the opening closed.
7. Top-stitch the edges of both the collar and the bow. This will keep them from losing their shape while laundering.

8. Fold the loop piece (c) in half, lengthwise. Sew it as shown, leaving an unstitched space for turning. Turn the piece right-sides out. Top-stitch the loop.
9. Either hand or machine stitch the loop to the front of the collar.
10. Accordian-pleat
the bow piece and insert it into the loop. Arrange the pleats to
resemble a bow.
