Complete Pattern and Instructions

Materials:
1/8 yd muslin
wool roving for hair
acrylic paint: black, white, rust, blue
fine point permanent black marker
fiberfill
white glue
Note: the materials require only a small amount of each
Layout:
Cut
out the paper pattern pieces. Double the muslin fabric. Arrange the pattern
pieces on the muslin. Trace around each piece. Do not cut the pieces out
yet.
Stitching:
Use the tracing line for a stitching line Stitch around each body part
leaving an opening for turning. Body: Turn each piece right-side facing
out. Tightly stuff each piece with fiberfill. Whip stitch the openings
closed.

Painting:
Paint the body pieces as shown. Allow the paint to dry, then make a white
dot for the shoe button
Apron:
Place
the apron over the painted body. Stitch around the outer edge to secure
it. Glue a tiny heart for a pocket. Face: With a permanent marker, draw
the face as shown in the diagram. Paint a red triangle for the nose.
Hair:
Using a small amount of wool roving, roll it into a flattened ball and
glue it into place. Add a tiny scrap of fabric for the hair bow.
Assembly:
Using 6 strands of embroidery floss, stitch the arms and legs to the dress
where the dots on the pattern indicate.

Ain't That Cute is also the name of a television program seen in the midwest U.S. which features a different crafting or craft sewing project in each episode. The program has won 2 Philo Awards for best instructional video in a 5-state region and 3 ICE awards for commitment to local programming.
