The specter of Halloween looms ominously, its bulk casting an unfathomable murk in the wake of the full moon. A bitterly cold wind howls, shaking the leaves from the trees, and what few shutters remain dance in the breeze, their staccato blows reverberating into the gloom.

Don't stumbled over objects seemingly low to the ground. The clouds of mist thicken and wisps of fog swirl around your feet. Don't let the Halloween Spirits take you under the earth..

Halloween or, more correctly, Hallowe'en, celebrated on October 31st, marks the last day of the year on the ancient Celtic calendar, its night being the time when all witches and warlocks walked abroad and engaged in wicked revelry.  With the coming of Christianity, the feast was transformed into the Eve of All Hallows, or All Saints.   Halloween beliefs and traditions survived well into the Christian era.
