BODY:
Cut two of the body patterns (1 reverse) from fabric. - Line up the two pieces with right sides together. Using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch the two pieces together, leaving an opening along one side for turning.- Miter the bottom corners to make the bottom more squared-off.
- Clip the inside corners and notch the outside curves where shown on the pattern to make the seam lie smoothly.
- Turn the piece right-sides-out.
- Fill the bottom 1/3 of the doll with beans and stuff the remainder with polyfill.
COAT:
Cut two fronts (one reverse) and one back
(on the fold) of the coat fabric using the patterns given.
Fold 1/2" of each front edge to the wrong
side of the fabric and stitch or glue down.
- Cut out the pocket piece, fold it in half and hand stitch it onto the jacket front.
- With right sides together, match the shoulder and side seams, stitch together using 1/4" seam.

- Turn the coat right sides out, then fold 1/4" of the cuff to the inside of the sleeve and hand stitch or glue it down.- Turn 1/4" of the coat hem to the wrong side and hand stitch or glue it down.
- Slip the coat onto the Snow-lady, overlap the center front edges, then stitch closed using decorative buttons.
SCARF: Cut a piece of wool or other fabric 12" long and 2 1/2" wide. With right-sides-together, stitch the long sides together. Turn the piece right-sides-out. Fringe the ends.

FACE: Using the pattern as a guide, take a permanent marker and make dots for the mouth and eyes. Add powdered blush for the cheeks, if desired. Sew a small red button for the nose.EMBELLISH: Add a straw hat to the head. Instead of a straw hat, a small tube of knit ribbing can be used for a winter cap. Gather the open end of the tube and tie off with floss or twine. A bird's nest of moss or excelsior can be glued on the shoulder. Greenery can be placed in the pocket along with other small items.
