For those who ask me, I tell them that I taught myself to create webpages. The truth is, that I learned from other webmasters by observing the codes on their pages and reading html tutorials. The web is it's own best source for providing information on how to create webpages. In the spirit of sharing and furthering HTML skills, most information and instruction is freely given on the web. Below, I have included links to resources that I found very helpful. Anything you need to know is available on the web. With the availability of free web space ... making pages can become addicting. In fact.. when I learned how to build web pages... I forgot how to do everything else.
Free webspace providers usually require that an ad be placed on your site to promote the space and their sponsors. There are many other free webspaces that do not require that feature, mainly online services and memberships. Some webspace providers are better than others, and limits on content vary as does the size of the space. Take time to shop the space providers for one that suits your needs. You can also get a "virtual domain" from web hosting services, for example, mine is 100 mb (mega bytes) "www.Aint-That-Cute.com" and it is hosted by Easyspace though there is a required registry fee. The number of free site providers is staggering !! I could only list a few.

An editor is a tool that simplifies page making. Basically, it uses a fill-in-the blank method, very user-friendly. It's a great place to start but you will also need some basic HTML skills to fine-tune your pages as you progress. All pages use HTML code. An Editor places the HTML (hypertext markup language) code in the source for you by using a few simple commands.
Basic Backgrounds And Graphics
The basic page uses a background image, and then you can add buttons, bars, images, or graphics. Try a search for "free graphics" and you will have more than you could ever look at. So many are free to download from the internet and the creators ask that you give them credit for their work. Simple enough...

Again, this is an area where the choices of free services is plentiful. There are also many free site trackers available that provide statistics about your viewers.
